| Description: This catalog contains a sizeable collection (over 7,000 pieces) of Spanish American pillar dollars and minors and counterstamped and cut silver pieces from the collection of Alexander Patterson. Of special note are choice examples of the 1732 and 1733 8 and 4 reales, a first year Bolivian 8 reales (1767), 1768 Chilean 8 reales, 2 1759 Colombian 8 reales, and a previously unpublished Lima 1751 half real of Ferdinand VI. It is nicely illustrated with black & white coin photographic plates. |
