The cover worn at the corners and along the spine, some remnents of library sticker on spine, also contains library bookplate and previous owner's bookplate on inside cover but otherwise in better than average shape; this exceedingly rare book is one of the earliest references on Revolutionary War uniform buttons and other military related artifacts. It was written by a member of the New York Historical Society and amateur archaeologist and there are many stories relating to digging artifacts on various military sites. It is an excellent early reference to Revolutionary War militaria and archaeological investigation. |
