11-30-07 10-4-07 Well, I'm finally finished with the hard work on Dan Sedwick's catalog and website. The catalog is at the printers and the website looks great and is now live. The auction is filled with many rare treasure coins, artifacts and books. Take some time to check things out by following the link to his auction below. Now I can focus my energy on putting together a new offering for my website. I have many great treasure, coin and military titles waiting to be listed. I will follow up the new offering with a printed pricelist so if you are interested in getting on the mailing list please drop me a line and let me know. In the meantime, there are still some great books and magazines on this site still in stock so please fell free to browse my website. 9-30-07 Its been a busy past couple of months with attending the ANA in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in August and working with Dan Sedwick on his up-coming treasure auction catalog, due out in a week or so. For everyone attending the ANA show in August, I had a great time meeting and visiting with those that stopped by Dan's table. I was also thoroughly impressed with the city and of course, the great local brews! However, since then its been work work work helping Dan put together his next auction catalog. I believe everyone will be impressed with the quality and quantity of treasure coins, artifacts, and BOOKS coming up for bidding. There are two big treasure book libraries up for bids from the collections of Dave Crooks and Bruce Prior. Be sure to check in on Dan's auction website (link below) within the next week. After my work with Dan is done, I will be putting together another list of new books and magazines for my website. I hope to have something put together for release by the end of October. I appreciate everyone who has made purchases in the past few months. I hope that my next listing effort will have a little of something for everyone. 7-31-07 First, I would like to say it was a pleasure seeing everyone at the FUN Show in West Palm Beach. I especially had a great time at the Sunken Treasure Literature Club meeting. A special thanks to Dave Crooks for organizing it and to everyone that attended. It was great seeing familiar faces as well as it was meeting new people. I am looking forward to next year. As far as the website goes, nothing like waiting until the end of the month to get the site updated. After a couple weeks and a coin show, I've finally come through with new material across the board. I have over 54 new items on my Treasure Book page, several rarities and several with author or salvor signatures. I am also trying something new this time with a featured author on my Books Homepage. I have chosen to feature books by Robert "Frogfoot" Weller. He has been a successful treasure salvor in Florida for a long time and an equally successful author. Take some time to check out his section of treasure books. On my Numismatic Book page I have over 18 new offerings on Latin American numismatics. I have also listed over 27 new books from Freeman Craig, Jr's numismatic library. There are many rare and signed items on Latin American numismatics. On my Militaria and Americana Book page, I have over 46 new items. Last but not least, I have added 8 new National Geographic magazines that feature shipwreck or sunken treasure related articles. I hope you will find something for your collection! 7-20-07 Congratulations to my friend and colleague, Dan Sedwick, for the recent publishing and delivery of his new 20th Anniversary (4th) edition of The Practical Book of Cobs. It has been a laborious but worthwhile endeavor and highly anticipated. Follow his site banner below to reserve a copy! 7-2-07 This is a quick note to mention that I am back from vacation and looking forward to seeing everyone at the Clearwater Coin Club coin show this weekend. I will be helping Dan Sedwick at his table so come by and say hello! I have been diligently working on getting new inventory written up so that I can get it all listed following the Summer FUN show in West Palm Beach the weekend of the 13th. 6-19-07 This is a quick note to let everyone know that I have updated the site and I have removed the last wave of sold inventory. I will be updating my website in the next couple weeks following my vacation with many new book offerings. I have worked with a couple publishers and suppliers to bring some new books to my website. I know there will be something for everyone. Please do not hesitate to send me your want list! 5-31-07 Congratulations to my close friend and esteemed colleague, Daniel Sedwick, on the success of his first treasure auction!!! If you have a collection of treasure coins or artifacts, contact Dan about the possibility of consigning your collection to one of his future treasure auctions! 5-22-07 My colleague, Daniel Sedwick's first treasure auction is underway. Take a look at the great treasure coins and shipwreck artifacts that Dan has to offer in his Treasure Auction. There is only a week or so left to get your bids in. The closing date is May 30th at 5PM EST. Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of shipwreck history! Now that my involvement with preparations for Dan's auction are about over, I am going to work toward getting new inventory listed soon. 4-24-2007 I want to give a belated thank you to everyone who stopped by my table at the Treasure Depot North South Hunt March 22 and 24. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with everyone and I also appreciate everyone's business. I also want to mention thank you to those who stopped by my table recently at the Central Florida Arms Show this past weekend. Again, I had a great time attending the show and meeting many interesting people. As for my website, I apologize for the lack of new material. I do have many new books that need to be listed but my work helping Dan Sedwick create and organize the catalog for his up-coming treasure auction next month has taken the majority of my free time. My involvement is starting to let up just a little bit. I will also be helping to organize new webpages on his website devoted to his new treasure auctions. Click on his banner below in the next few weeks to see the many wonderful treasure coins and artifacts up for bid. 3-8-2007 I have updated the website with some new treasure book selections. I have also completed my 7th updated pricelist. Anyone interested in receiving a copy in the mail, please email me with your address. I have also updated my show schedule below. I am a sponsor of the Treasure Depot website and I will be attending their North South annual hunt. I will be bringing a nice selection of military reference books and treasure hunting magazines. I look forward to seeing everyone who will be attending. 2-27-2007 I have updated the coin and military book pages with a large number of new selections. I plan on uploading new treasure book items tomorrow afternoon or evening. I hope that you will find something of interest. 2-20-2007 I have updated the coin, treasure, and military book pages with some new selections. I am currently working on my 7th printed catalog of new material. With any luck, I should have it completed sometime next week. Send me an email with your address if you are interested in receiving it in the mail. 2-8-2007 As promised, I have updated the military book page with almost 60 different volumes of the War of the Rebellion: The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies. All volumes are first editions ranging in publish date from 1880 through 1900. They were formerly part of the Fletcher Memorial College library in Ludlow, Vermont. The only indications that they were from a library collection are the book plates and library seal. All volumes are in excellent shape and would make great additions to the reference library of the Civil War historian. Please let me know if there are any other questions you might have concerning these volumes. 2-7-2007 I have updated the book pages (Coin and Treasure) with new items. I will be updating the military book pages tomorrow to reflect a nice selection of first edition volumes of the War of the Rebellion: The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies so check back to see what's available. 2-1-2007 I have updated the book pages (Coin, Treasure and Military) with new items. I will be updating periodically so check back often to see what's new. 1-23-2007 The Vero show is over and I would like to thank everyone who stopped by and did some business or introduced themselves. The coin show is always well attended and this year was no exception. I had a great time chatting about books and treasure with everyone who stopped by the table. My friend Dan brought in some important consignments for his upcoming treasure auction, which is shaping up to be a good one. I was able to procure some new material as well and I will work hard in the near future toward getting it written up on my website. 1-17-2007 I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and a happy New Year's celebration. I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the FUN show. I appreciate everyone who stopped by and did some business or introduced themselves. I have more books and catalogs than I know what to do with but I am slowly working through them to get them online. I am also planning on a printed list for sometime around the first week of February. I will be attending the Treasure Coast Coin Club Annual Show in Vero Beach along with Dan this weekend, so everyone in the area please stop by and say hello. I will have a nice (but small) selection of books and treasure magazines. Its a nice little show on Florida's main treasure for treasure hunters. Who knows, if you bring your detector you might just find a treasure of your own. 12-7-2006 First of all, on this remembrance day of Pearl Harbor, I would like to pay my respects to those vets who have served this country and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy our freedom. I know this has been a long time coming, but I have finally updated the site and can now make available selections from the library of Freeman Craig. The site links sections have all been updated to reflect the addition. I have also made some format changes to the main category pages. I hope that the site is now a little easier to navigate. I still have plenty of inventory that has not been uploaded to the site so please do not hesitate to send me your want lists. Enjoy the new listings and check back often. I will be doing my best to continue to update new material as often as I can. 11-16-2006 I know this is late but I would like to thank everyone who stopped by my table at the GNRS Hunt Thursday evening meeting. Thanks also to everyone who made a purchase. I appreciate the support. Thanks to Larry Cissna and the Treasure Depot board for another spectacular hunt. I will be looking forward to seeing everyone again for the North South Hunt in 2007. I will be out on vacation from November 17 through November 26. If anyone is interested in placing an order during that time I will get it out to you upon my return. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holidays. 10-19-2006 I have updated the Shipwreck & Treasure and Numismatic book pages with some new items. I am still working on a large consignment of predominantly Latin American Numismatic works. I am shooting for completion hopefully by the middle of next month. There are many good books and auction catalogs included in the consignment so I'm sure there will be something for everyone. Next week I will be attending the Grand National Relic Shootout, or GNRS, in Virginia. I will be bringing a good selection of military reference books, first edition volumes from the Official Records and many old treasure hunting magazines for sale or trade. I look forward to meeting everyone who will be attending. 9-12-2006 I have updated the Shipwrecks & Treasure, Numismatic, and Military book pages with some new items. Follow this link to the Books homepage to check out the new offerings. I have acquired a large consignment of numismatic material that I will be listing in the weeks to come. If there are any books that you may be looking for please don't hesitate to email me with your want list. I will also be attending the Grand National Relic Shootout (GNRS) hunt at the end of October and bringing a selection of military books and magazines for sale. If you are planning to attend, I am always interested in buying or trading used and hard-to-find military reference books and auction catalogs and treasure & shipwreck books and auction catalogs so bring what you have to sell or trade. 8-21-2006 I have just returned from the ANA show in Denver and I would like to say thank you to everyone who made a purchase from Dan and I at Dan's table (211) at the show. It was a pleasure meeting those who stopped by. I have updated the book pages and Treasure Catalog pages to reflect those items that sold at the show. I will be planning to make another overall update by the end of the month to the book, catalog, and magazine pages to reflect new inventory. I will also be printing my 6th fixed price list around the beginning of September. My show/event calendar will be empty until late October. 6-28-2006 I have updated the Shipwrecks & Treasure book page with many new items. I plan on adding new items to the Numismatics and Military & Americana book pages next week. I have also updated all of the magazine pages and I have also added a new publication, Old Bottle Magazine. This is a great publication for those who are interested in bottle digging of all kinds. There are many great articles which offer a wealth of tips. I am definitely looking forward to seeing those of you who will be coming out to the Clearwater Coin Club Annual Show at the Harborview Center in Clearwater, Florida. I'll be helping Dan Sedwick out at his table and I will also have a selection of books and auction catalogs available. 6-15-2006 I have returned from the Savannah Civil War Show and I had a great time meeting many new folks. Thank you everyone who stopped by the show and my table and thank you for those who made a purchase. Of special note was the pleasure of meeting the publishers of American Digger Magazine, Butch & Anita Holcombe. They are a class act and publish a wonderful magazine which is dedicated to those who preserve the past through responsible digging and collecting. Their publication presents articles concerning all periods of history relating to both military and civilian artifact finds. Check out my "Sites of Interest" area below and give their site a look-see. 6-6-2006 I have updated the show and vacation schedule for the months of June, July, and August. I will also be updating the site with new books around the end of next week after the Savannah Civil War Show. 4-26-2006 I have updated the book pages with new material. I will also continue to add to the magazine and auction catalog pages in the days to come. 4-10-2006 I have changed the format of my Shipwreck & Treasure Magazines Pages. Each magazine title has been relegated to its own webpage. There are links at the top of each page to the various treasure magazine titles. Hopefully, this will make the pages easier to load and to view. I will be adding new issues and several new titles soon so check back often. 4-5-2006 Just a quick news flash to mention that I have added my stock of North South Trader's Civil War magazines to my Military & Americana Magazines Page. 3-28-2006 I'm back from a great relic hunting 4-day weekend in Virginia sponsored by Larry Cissna and the Treasure Depot (see link below). Thanks Larry for a great time and the opportunity to bring my militaria and treasure hunting related inventory to sell at the hunt meetings. Thanks to those of you who made purchases at the hunt. I really appreciate your patronage and I hope you enjoy the books/magazines. I will be working diligently in the near future to get all of my militaria related magazines and auction catalogs listed on the appropriate webpages. I have been severely behind on that task. However, I have the majority of the covers scanned which is half the battle so be looking for new additions on those pages in the coming weeks. During the next two weeks, I will be putting together a new pricelist (5th) of my books and magazines. A free copy may be requested with any order. A yearly subscription (4 - 6 catalogs) to the US is also available for $15 (for overseas rates please inquire). See my Orders page for details. 3-7-2006 I just finished uploading fixes to my auction catalog, books, and magazines pages to fix a majority of the shopping cart buttons so that they would register the correct item choices. If you have tried unsuccessfully in the last week or so to purchase any item associated with a faulty button, my apologies. I tested the majority of the buttons for functionality and they all appear to be working. If during your visit to my site you notice anything wrong please do not hesitate to email or call me about it so that I can remedy the situation. ***PLEASE NOTE***, I changed my ebay name from "mudtub" to Workmansbooks. If you have my ebay auctions bookmarked you will need to change it to the new name within the next 30 days. 3-2-2006 I have been working hard to get written up a sizeable treasure book collection I acquired late in January. There are many quality items in the collection (some shown above), several of which are autographed by the authors. I am also working to get written up and listed, a multitude of auction catalogs and treasure magazines. As mentioned before, I now have all of my inventory associated with shopping cart buttons so that you may have the convenience of paying with a credit card. I hope that there is something in my new offerings for your collection. Also note that at the end of the month I will be attending the North/South Relic Hunt hosted by the owner of The Treasure Depot (see link below). I will be bringing the majority of my militaria related books, magazines, and auction catalogs for those in attendance who might be interested in what I have to offer. I will be looking forward to meeting and hunting with those who will be attending. It should be lots of fun. 1-26-2006 Well, just a quick note to say that not all new things are without problems. Due to the nature of the new shopping cart system, ordering an item that has already been sold before the site can be updated is a possibility to be aware of. Should this occur when you order, you will be credited for the sold-out item and notified via email. I will be diligent to keep the site updated with all sold-out items. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. 1-25-2006 I have updated the treasure auction catalogs, books, and numismatic & treasure magazine pages with a shopping cart check out system for credit card ordering through paypal. You do NOT need a paypal account to use your credit card with this system. In the coming weeks, I will continue to further update the site with the shopping cart system and I will also continue to add new offerings to all pages so please continue to check back. 1-9-06 Happy New Year to everyone and thanks to those who attended the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) show in Orlando. I would like to say that it was a pleasure to meet everyone that stopped by Dan Sedwick's table at the show. A thank you goes out to Dave Crooks for the invitation to the Sunken Treasure Literature Club meeting Friday afternoon at the show. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was wonderful to meet everyone there. I really learned a great deal which I hope will help me with this site. I have updated the various pages to reflect what I sold during the show. Thanks again to all who made purchases. One project I will be working on for this site will be to incorporate the ability to accept credit card sales through the website. I feel this would be very advantageous to all especially those who do not have a Paypal account or those who might be shopping from overseas. My goal is to get all of my online inventory handled by a shopping cart system by the end of the month so keep your fingers crossed... 12-21-05 Have a happy holiday and I will be back in the office on the 3rd before the FUN show January 4 through 8, 2006. 12-1-05As you can see, I have come out with a new format for my website with the majority of the changes made to the site and category links and my auction catalog section. I broke down the original numismatic auction catalog section along with the military auction catalog section into 8 separate new web pages. I thought that it would be easier for everyone to find the topics that they were interested in if I were to categorize my auction catalog inventory by featured material. I think that this new format will make browsing the catalogs easier and more enjoyable. Of course if there are any questions about a certain catalog please feel free to contact me. If you will note my show schedule section, I am planning on attending the Florida United Numismatists Show in Orlando in January along with Dan Sedwick, so I will look forward to meeting those of you who plan on attending. Currently, I have only updated the book webpages with new material. New updates to the auction catalog pages will immediately follow in the ensuing days and weeks so please continue to check the site. 10-21-2005 Well, it's that time again to list new material. I have made my rounds and have found a great deal of new and interesting material. Please check out the book sections for my latest editions as of this news item. I plan on making many new catalogs available on my list toward the end of next week. I also have created a printed catalog which is available for those of you who like a tangible version of what I have on my website for sale. Subscriptions will be $15 per year and my printed catalog will be issued 5 to 6 times a year. Currently, my catalog has available my listings from August through September and will be $3 postpaid. Remember to check out the site map or orders pages for links to my ebay auctions. 9-13-2005 I have many new books and a few new catalogs listed so check out those pages to see what's new. I have also been listing new items on ebay, so check out the site map or orders pages for links to my ebay auctions. I will continue to add new material to the site in the coming weeks so check the "latest news" for updates. 8-18-2005 Well, I finally have some new inventory listed. I have new books, catalogs, and magazines so check out those pages to see what's new. I have also been listing new items on ebay, so check out the site map or orders pages for links to my ebay auctions. I will continue to add new material to the site in the coming weeks so check the "latest news" for updates.8-3-2005 I just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting those of you that stopped by the A.N.A. show in San Francisco, California this past week to visit Dan Sedwick's table. I had an awesome time meeting everyone and participating in the show. I have a lot of new inventory that I will be listing over the course of the month so keep checking back for updates. 7-3-2005 I just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting those of you that stopped by the coin show in Clearwater, Florida this past weekend to visit Dan Sedwick's table. I had a wonderful time meeting everyone and also attending the show. I also look forward to meeting everyone that will be attending the ANA show at the end of the month. 6-26-2005 I noticed that there was a lack of definite office hours mentioned on the Orders page. Please feel free to call in your order weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and please leave a message with a return phone number if I am unable to immediately take your call. As always, you can email me at any time. 6-25-2005 For your convenience, I have added a site map to the website. You can find the links at either the top or bottom of the webpages on this site. The site map gives an overview of the webpages on this site and quick access to any page you need. 6-23-2005 First of all, thank you for those who have made my start up a successful one. A big thanks to Larry Cissna, owner of the Treasure Depot for creating a forum for people to discuss reference books and websites. If you haven't checked it out follow the link below and look for the "Reference Forum" on the main page. I have added new material to the catalog, book, and magazine lists. I have also designated the unsold material as of this update as list #1. I have plans to put together a physical softcover catalog of my lists so look for that announcement in the future. I still have a lot of unlisted material and I will attempt to add new material every week. Please check back often. 6-1-2005 The shop is finally "live" after several months of design and many hours of getting items cataloged and listed on the site. I still have many items to write up so please keep checking back soon. I will make a general announcement on the main home page here about where to look for new listings. The specific catalog's main page will have more detailed information. I apologize for not having a cover scan for all items listed. I will be adding cover scans as I get more up-to-date. If there is an item that you would like to see whose cover is not available for review online, please let me know and I will email you a scan. I hope that you enjoy this site and that you find something for your collection. |
