FORM OF PAYMENT:  Please email or call in your order before sending payment so that shipping charges and availability can be determined. Once shipping charges and availability have been determined, for immediate shipment, please pay by Paypal (see below). Orders paid by money order will also be quickly processed. Bank drafts and personal or business checks are also accepted, but shipment will be delayed by a 10-business-day clearance period from date of deposit (unless you have established credit with me from prior transactions). All checks must be payable in U.S. dollars drawn on U.S. banks (and please make payable to Alan David Workman).

CREDIT CARDS & PAYPAL: I now directly accept credit cards as a means for payment but only through a shopping cart system on my website. If you would like to use a credit card you can use the "add to cart" buttons to select items for purchase. This service is being handled through Paypal. You do NOT need to have a paypal account to use this system. However, you can also pay with your PayPal account through the shopping cart system. If you do not have a Paypal account and would like to set one up, you can click on the banner below to get started setting up an account. ***Due to the nature of the new shopping cart system, ordering an item that has already been sold before the site can be updated is a possibility to be aware of. Should this occur when you order, you will be credited for the sold-out item and notified via email.***

RETURNS: are accepted within 30 days of shipment on any merchandise not altered or damaged during or after shipment (customer assumes risk and expense of return shipment).  You may opt for a refund (minus shipping cost) or a credit toward future purchase from me.  All sales are final after 30 days, but I am usually willing to buy back items after this time period.

LATE ACCOUNTS: Payment in full must be postmarked by the due date on the invoice or interest will accrue at a rate of 1½ % monthly, calculated from the date of the invoice.  All items remain the property of Alan David Workman until paid for in full.

FLORIDA RESIDENTS, REMEMBER: All sales are taxable. Please note that the amount of tax due depends on your county surtax (total range of 6% to 7.5%).

I am now set up with the ability to accept credit cards through a "shopping cart" system if you wish to purchase items from my on-line catalog. You can also order from my website by contacting me by phone or email to let me know the item(s) you want, and I will handle everything in the order received. Due to time constraints, I may not be able to update the catalog every day to show what is sold, so please don't be disappointed if you miss something, rather provide alternate selections just in case.

To avoid re-numbering selections when I update the inventory in my catalog, I have a simple 10-digit alpha-numeric system to keep the same number with each item forever (even after it is sold, you will be able to access the photos from the archive).  Please indicate the inventory number with a description of the item and its price when you order (simplest thing is to highlight the whole item in its box, copy, and paste into your email or written order). It is understood that not every item description will be sufficient enough to make a purchase an easy proposition. When possible, cover scans, will be available to aid item descriptions. If more information is requested, please give me a call and I will provide a more detailed verbal item description.

GRADING: I use terminology from the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA) when grading books for sale. From best to worst, "As New (AN)" or "Very Fine (VF)" is unread condition; "Fine (Fn)" is similar to AN or VF but not as crisp; "Very Good (VG)" is a used book showing some wear, "Good (G)" is the average used and worn book; "Fair (Fr)" is a worn book that has complete text pages but may lack endpapers, half-title page, etc., "POOR (P)" or "READING COPY (RC)" is a book that is sufficiently worn that its only merit is the complete text, which must be legible. Any missing maps or plates should still be noted. May be soiled, scuffed, stained, or spotted, and may have loose joints, hinges, pages, etc. Anything that is EX-LIBRARY (XL)" or "BOOK CLUB (BC)" must always be designated as such no matter what the condition of the book. A "BINDING COPY (BdC)" is a book in which the text block, including illustrations, is complete but the binding is lacking, or in such poor condition it is beyond realistic restoration efforts.
