Workman's Books is a full-time online bookseller specializing in numismatic, military, and treasure hunting-related auction catalogs, books, and magazines for the discerning collector or casual hobbyist. This online bookshop began in 2005 from a deep passion of collecting reference material for the purpose of identifying pieces of historic militaria and rare coins unearthed through the fascinating hobby of metal-detecting. Knowing the difficulty in assembling a quality reference collection for this hobby was the driving force behind developing this website to help other collectors and hobbyists get the references they need.
Our general inventory is a good mix of auction catalogs, books, and magazines, with an emphasis on hard-to-find vintage auction catalogs of rare coins and fine militaria. Our book inventory is tailored toward militaria research, military unit research and identification of military uniforms, equipment, firearms, ordinance, and accoutrement. Also included in our book inventory are selections on numismatic identification as well as selections on treasure, buried treasure, sunken treasure, shipwrecks, salvage, and general treasure hunting how-to. Our magazine inventory is richly stocked with a nice variety of back issues on treasure hunting, buried treasure, sunken treasure, shipwrecks, relic hunting, indian artifacts, war history, American history and gold mining/prospecting.
